The Paperless Flight Bag™ (PFB™) solution is based on mobile internet
technologies. It enables the airline pilot to perform critical operational
plans, calculations and reports while seated in the cockpit. Data from
one module is re-used in following modules reducing the extra time
and possibility of errors associated with double entry.
The communicator works as a personal pocket-sized terminal providing
access to relevant information sources and back-office systems.
Precise calculations based on real-time data result in increased safety,
maximum aircraft load, reduced ground time, less administration
and minimum use of fuel and engine power.
The PFB™ is stored and powered as a "normal" Electronic Flight Bag
device in the cockpit dedicated to and kept by the individual crew member for personal
communication, planning and reporting, or it can be implemented as a stove-away / mounted
tablet PC's which can be used legally by pilots during the complete flight, including
take-off and landings.
Although our PFB™ solution does not come in a fully integrated Class III integration, it
is possible to load the Paperless Flight Bag™ on to your existing installation, thus allowing
you to benefit from one of the most powerful performance and best cost/benefit software in the industry.
All performance calculations are based on first principal software from the aircraft manufacturer,
which provides the pilot with very precise weight and speed values based on actual runway conditions.
Because the performance calculations are done only minutes before take-off; it gives the pilot safe
information for gaining extra pay-load or reducing the thrust or often both.
